The Chinese leader has sensed a turbulent time ahead. Xi Jinping recently cautioned his officials about extreme scenarios. I think he is genuinely worried about the Chinese economy. Beijing has been manipulating data to hide its economic problems: local government debt, falling real estate prices, unemployment, a banking crisis, etc. In this program, we’ll challenge China’s 2023 exports by using Beijing’s own data.
