Why Soros and Xi don’t see eye to eye? The 2015 Chinese stock market crash was said to be a financial coup orchestrated by the Jiang Zemin faction by short selling Chinese stocks. It started on Xi Jinping’s birthday, June 15, 2015. Within a few weeks, Chinese stock market lost 30% in value. Despite national rescue efforts, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) index dropped again in August, over 8% in one day. George Soros was said to have played a part in it. It looks like Soros is involved in the Chinese factional politics now. And the movie star Vicki Zhao Wei is also implicated in the political infighting.
